Jan Wikström and Andreas Hultgren had a great race when the second round of RaceDepartments GT Championship was held in Dubai last Sunday. Jan, who DNF’ed in race 1, was again in division 1 and was joined by his teammate this time. Both had a good qualifying with Jan starting 2nd (!) and Andreas 11th.

Jan held his place in the early stages of the race but after keeping up with p1 he was forced to focus on the fight for 2nd when pole sitter and eventual race winner Helder Filipe pulled away. It all looked good for Jan but again the pitstop was a race decider for him. It didn’t go as bad as last time but he lost ground and in the end he finished in a solid 4th.

Andreas had a god race aswell. He got off to a good start and was batteling many cars untill he got hit from behind on lap 7. He lost a couple of positions but his pitstop was good and he recovered to finish 12th after suffering tyre problems near the end of the race.
